I just noticed that Cas is stilling wearing his crazy-bin bracelet.  And you can’t commit someone without a last name.  So I have this theory that in order to get him committed (and have visitation rights) Sam and Dean told the doctor his name was Cas Winchester.  And Cas kept the bracelet because it helped him remember that, even if he was fucked up and broken, and even if they were pissed at him, there were at least two people in the world who thought he belonged.  THROWING UP FEELS Understand your suffering, and I’ll help you.
